Middle School Honor Band Festival Concert (No ticket required)
The 2014 festival has expanded to engage 360 students in four honor bands—two seventh-grade and two eighth-grade bands. Guest composer/conductor James Swearingen and guest conductor Nancy Youse will join professors Russel C. Mikkelson, Daryl Kinney, and Scott A. Jones. Featured in this program are several works composed or arranged by Swearingen, including a world premiere performance, Of Time and Change. This concert is free and open to the public.Mershon Auditorium doors will open shortly after 3 p.m. Special event parking ($5) will be available in the Ohio Union South Garage at both the High Street and College Road entrances.
