Collegiate Winds and University Band

The ensembles present a program of contemporary works. The University Band performs Spitfire! Gary P. Gilroy; J. S. Jig, Brant Karrick; Simple Gifts: Four Shaker Songs, Frank Ticheli; Big Four March, Karl L. King/arr. James Swearingen. Matt King and Bryen Warfield, conductors. Both King and Warfield are pursuing the master of music in wind conducting.

Collegiate Winds will perform Overture in B Flat, Caesar Giovannini/scored by W. Robinson; "Pacem" - A Hymn for Peace, Robert Spittal; "March" from A Moorside Suite, Gustav Holst/arr. Gordon Jacob; "Puszta" – Four Gypsy Dances, Jan Van der Roost. Phillip Day, conductor; Christopher Hoch and Jeff Krubsack, guest conductors. Day is a doctoral conducting associate; Hoch, associate director of bands and interim director of the Ohio State University Marching and Athletic Bands; Krubsack is a master's conducting associate.
