Coral Varian is a first year Master of Arts student and graduate teaching associate in music theory. In 2024, Coral graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Music Education degree from The Ohio State University. During her undergraduate career, Coral was named a Presser Scholar and received multiple music education awards, including the 2024 Student Teacher of the Year in Instrumental Music. Throughout her time at Ohio State, Coral has held officer positions in music organizations such as Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity, the Central Ohio Flute Association, The Ohio State School of Music Ambassadors, and the National Association for Music Education collegiate chapter at Ohio State. As a theorist, Coral is interested in the intersection of music theory and education. Outside of music, Coral enjoys discovering local coffee shops, hiking, and spending time with loved ones.
