Dasom Kwon, a native of South Korea, began studying piano at age five. She performed extensively during her childhood for a wide variety of music programs. She earned a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance from Kyungwon University, with a minor in composition. She earned two master of music degrees from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, in piano performance and collaborative piano. While at CCM, she was awarded a Graduate Assistantship Scholarship as well as the Artman Straub Scholarship, and played more than 40 recitals. She was employed as staff accompanist at Northern Kentucky University, where she collaborated with faculty, guest artists and students in numerous performances. She was also an invited resident artist at the Indianapolis Opera Company in 2019 as a pianist and coach. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts under the tutelage of Dr. Caroline Hong.
