Scott A. Jones, Youth Summer Music Programs Director
Each summer for more than 35 years, Ohio State's School of Music has been a place where young musicians from across the country gather to enrich their musical lives.
However, 2020 has presented all of us with unusual circumstances. Amidst the virtual teaching, learning and research that continues at Ohio State, this spring is a continued awareness of the needs of others. We are sending to you our best wishes for strength, patience and resilience during this extraordinary time.
The Ohio State University announced that all courses will be delivered through virtual modes of teaching and learning for the Summer 2020 term as we continue to respond to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Ohio State’s highest priority is the health and well-being of our community, and the university is following public health guidance in all decisions.
That university decision compels us to cancel our 2020 Youth Summer Music Program offerings, with the exception of NEW virtual offerings for flute and classical saxophone.
We look forward to the possibility of welcoming you back to campus for the summer of 2021.
