Concert spotlights graduate student soloists. Program opens with Brahms' Serenade No. 1 in D, op. 11 followed by Canteloube's Three Songs of the Auvergne, with Emily Brand, soprano; Marshall Haddock, conductor. Ms. Brand is pursuing the DMA in voice performance with a specialization in singing health.
Pei-Sin Chen is featured soloist in Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 1 in Db, op. 10 with guest conductor Antoine T. Clark. Ms. Chen is pursuing the DMA in piano performance. Dr. Clark (DMA, clarinet) is working toward the MM in orchestral conducting.
