The 2017 festival will host more than 360 students in four honor bands. Guest composer/conductor Andrew Boysen, Jr. and guest conductor Diana Wightman join professors Phillip Day, David Hedgecoth, and Daryl Kinney to lead this grand finale concert, which is free and open to the public.

World premieres of Andrew Boysen's works will be conducted by the composer - The Music Lover to be performed by the seventh grade bands and The Tiny Dancer by the eighth grade bands. Additional program selections presented by each band as follows. Seventh Grade Scarlet Honor Band (Diana Wightman conducting): Of Distant Peaks, Robert Sheldon and Saxes Will Rock, Larry Neeck; Seventh Grade Gray Honor Band (Daryl Kinney conducting): Two Minute Symphony, Bob Margolis and Portrait of a Clown, Frank Ticheli. Eighth Grade Scarlet Honor Band (Phillip Day conducting): Electricity, Brian Balmages; Salvation is Created, Pavel Tschesnokoff/arr. Brown and Mad Dash (Galop), Timothy Loest. Eighth Grade Gray Honor Band (David Hedgecoth conducting): Fireburst Fanfare, Roland Barrett; Amazing Grace, arranged by Jack Bullock; and New South Wales March, John Edmondson.
