A showstopping closing concert with The Ohio State University Jazz Ensemble, led by Kristopher Keith and featuring John Fedchock, guest trombonist and composer/arranger with alumni Randy Mather, tenor sax; Terry Douds, bass; and Jim Rupp, drums, performing Fedchock arrangements.
Program selections include "Black Orpheus," Luiz Bonfa/Eric Richards; "The Big Chase," Marty Paich; Fedchock's compositions "Like It Is," "Havana," "The Grove City Groover" and his arrangements of "Never Let Me Go" (Livingston/Evans), "East of the Sun" (Bowman) and "Caravan" (Tizol).
This concert is presented as part of the 42nd Annual Jazz Festival. It is free and open to the public. No ticket required.
