Featuring student solo and chamber performances by Ohio State School of Music students who are chosen by their instructors, spotlighting the "best of the best" undergraduate and graduate students in the school. They will present selections by Dan Kramer, Bedrich Smetana, Frédéric Chopin, Zach Koors, Gaetano Donizetti and Marc Mellits.
Student performers include a low brass quartet: Elise Daigle and Tyler Kunkel, euphonium with Bennett Deshotels and Jocelyn Smallwood, tuba; string quartet: Nora Dukart and Kelsey Broker, violins, Vincent Huzicka, viola and Mary Brandal, cello; piano soloist, Sunghwan Kim; marimba duo, Jon Largent and Zoë McNett; soprano Regan Tackett with pianist Ed Bak; and a woodwind quintet: Leland Greene, oboe; Alyssa Powell, clarinet; Colin Wood, saxophone; Zachary Dierickx, bass clarinet and Erik Malmer, bassoon.
Attendance is mandatory for all School of Music undergraduate students.
The Honors Recital is free and open to the public. No ticket required.
