Collegiate Winds to perform "Plummet" by alumnus Jason Nippert

School of Music alumnus Jason Nippert's first composition for wind band, Plummet, was premiered at Hilliard Bradley High School in spring 2019. Nippert is currently the assistant band director at Dublin Coffman High School. He was recently recognized in Your Arts Magazine for his composition for clarinet, flute and oboe, entitled Circuit.

Collegiate Winds will also perform Festival Prelude, Alfred Reed; Satiric Dances, Norman Dello Joio; Måndalen Landscapes, Philip Sparke; March, op. 99, Sergei Prokofiev; Danzon No. 2, Arturo Marquez/trans. Nickel; Valdres, Johannes Hanssen.

David Hedgecoth, conductor; TJ Mack (Festival Prelude) and Trevor Marcho (Valdres), guest conductors.

This concert is free and open to the public. No ticket required.


Today's School of Music concert band and orchestra performances will be held in Mershon Auditorium while construction to Weigel Hall is underway.

Directions and parking

Accessibility — Mershon Auditorium does not have an elevator. Main floor accessible seating is available for patrons with limited mobility or those using wheelchairs, and their companions. Current ADA standards limit companion seating to 3 people maximum, so making arrangements in advance and arriving early is preferable whenever possible.
