Check-in begins 7:15 a.m. in Weigel Hall
The Ohio State University School of Music is pleased to present the Fourth Annual Viola Day on September 24, 2016. This event will provide violists grades 7-12 the opportunity to work with Ohio State University School of Music students and faculty, professional violists from across the state of Ohio, and peers with similar interests. Participants will get tips on best methods for practicing, sight-reading skills, good audition practices and more.
We will also have an ensemble for the 18-and-over viola crowd! Perhaps you are an adult amateur violist in the Columbus area and have thought about dusting off that viola in your closet. Here's your chance to meet other violists age 18 to 88+ and make great music together!
The day will end with a concert showcasing the participants' work at Viola Day. The concert will take place at 4 p.m. in Weigel Auditorium; this performance is free and open to the public.
Eligibility: For students in grades 7-12 and adult amateurs; all ability levels welcome!
Program fee: $40
Registration: online links for students and adults are now available at Registration Procedures.
- Registration deadline is Tuesday, August 30.
