Theory Placement Exam (Non-major undergraduates)

Are you a non-major undergraduate interested in studying music theory or music technology? If so, you will need to take our Theory Placement Exam (TPE) if you are enrolled in any of the following music courses: Music 2220, 2021, 2224.

The exam will take place in Hughes Hall Auditorium, 1899 College Road, room 100. You need not make an appointment to take the TPE.

Please bring two #2 pencils.

Allow up to an hour and a half to take the exam.

Important: passing the exam does not guarantee a place in the course.
