Jazz Combos

Jazz ensembles and combos, under the direction of Professor Ted McDaniel (Jazz Ensemble) and other members of the Jazz study faculty, are devoted to rehearsing, arranging, and performing all styles of Jazz literature. Trumpeters, trombonists, saxophonists and rhythm section players will be asked to prepare three pieces of jazz ensemble music representing three different jazz styles, as well as sight-read one jazz ensemble chart. To arrange for an audition in the autumn, report to Room 314 Hughes Hall no later than the first day of autumn quarter classes.
